Kingdom Knight's Questline is an NPC Mission and one of the Quests in Salt and Sacrifice (SnS). Quests are various tasks or missions that a player can acquire and complete throughout the game, typically giving a reward such as Weapons, Armor or other equipment and items. This page features guided information on Kingdom Knight's Questline including how to start it, where to find relative NPCs, Boss fight strategies, rewards and more.
Kingdom Knight's Questline Information
Kingdom Knight's Questline involves the Inquisitor's frequent run-ins with the Kingdom Knight on their adventure, beginning at Ashbourne Village. The Kingdom Knight serves as a guide and will offer various hints on how to complete the main objective of each location he is found in, as well as some backstory on the events that transpired there. While not strictly structured like traditional quests, there is a pay-off for finding and speaking to the Kingdom Knight at each location.
Kingdom Knight's Questline Objectives
- Find and speak to the Kingdom Knight above the Gatehouse building in Ashbourne Village, east of the starting Obelisk. This can be done as soon as you obtain the Grappling Hook Inquisitor Tool.
- Find and speak to the Kingdom Knight atop a pillar in the Forsaken Gulch in Bol Gerahn. This pillar can be accessed by exiting west from the Creeping Caves.
- After defeating Marega Gredanya in Corvius' Mire and acquiring the Luminstone, return to the starting Obelisk and head east. Climb up the wooden platforms here to find the Kingdom Knight atop the highest one, above the Stone Circle.
- After defeating The Two That Remain in Dreadstone Peak and acquiring the Ethercloth Bolt, return to the first building in the Temple of Eleven complex to find the Kingdom Knight in the top-left corner.
- After defeating Kraeaxenar in Dreadstone Peak and unlocking the Runestones to the Elder Copse, return to the Kingdom Knight's location and speak to him. He will then move to Pardoner's Vale.
- Leave Dreadstone Peak and return. Go back to the Kingdom Knight's last location to find a Treasure Chest containing the entire Ostarin Set.
- Find the Kingdom Knight in Pardoner's Vale, sitting by the cat west from the village center. Speak to him to acquire an Ashpyr Brick.
Kingdom Knight's Questline Walkthrough
Kingdom Knight's location in Ashbourne Village
Before you can find Kingdom Knight in Ashbourne Village, you must first acquire the Grappling Hook Inquisitor Tool by defeating Uryks Necklace-of-Ears in Greymoss Mire and exploring the small cave behind him. See the Ashbourne Village Walkthrough page for details on how to accomplish these tasks.
After this prerequisite is met, return to the starting Obelisk and head east to find the Gatehouse building. Grapple up to its roof to find the Kingdom Knight. Alternatively, you can proceed through the Greymoss Mire and ascend the Craterstone Mines to wind up in the eastern section of Ashbourne Village where you can head west to find the Gatehouse. Speaking to the Knight here, he will inform you about a Talking Tree right above him as well as hints on the process of devouring the hearts of Mages. You will also receive the Vulgar gesture upon speaking with him.

Kingdom Knight's location in Bol Gerahn
Kingdom Knight can be found in the Forsaken Gulch area of Bol Gerahn, right outside of the Temple. You will need to have killed The Hate-Cursed Matriarch, acquired the Magnesin Supply Inquisitor Tool and have defeated at least one Named Mage in the area. After these prerequisites are met, the knight can be found atop a pillar in the Forsaken Gulch which can be accessed by exiting from the middle-west of the Creeping Caves onto a cliffside with a Pulley endpoint. From here, you can drop down onto the stairs below where a Treasure Chest containing 3x Goldenpyr and the entire Cleric Set. Head further west from the chest down the steps to the edge where you can jump onto the pillar's lower platform. Climb to the top platform and speak to the Knight. He will tell you about the area as well as give you a clue about the Temple's sewers and a Corvius' Mire Guard, both of which are key to completing the main objective.
Drop down from the cliffs to find a set of steps with a Treasure Chest. Head further west from here to get to the Forsaken Gulch pillar.
Kingdom Knight's location in Corvius' Mire
The Kingdom Knight can be found in the eastern section of the main Corvius' Mire area. Simply head east from the starting Obelisk and climb the wooden platforms. He can be found on the top platform above the Stone Circle. Note that he will only appear here after defeating Marega Gredanya in the Foulmurk Marsh and acquiring the Luminstone Inquisitor Tool. Once these prerequisites are met, speak to the Kingdom Knight to learn about the area as well as a clue regarding climbing The Great Tree.

Kingdom Knight's location in Dreadstone Peak
Finding Kingdom Knight in Dreadstone Peak requires that you first defeat The Two That Remain in the Temple of Eleven in the east and acquire the Ethercloth Bolt Inquisitor Tool. See the Dreadstone Peak walkthrough page for details on how to accomplish these tasks.
Once the prerequisites are met, return to the very first building you encountered in the Temple of Eleven complex. Make your way up the platforms to find the Kingdom Knight in the upper-left corner. He will mention a skyship called The Falling Star, clueing you in on your next objective.
After defeating Kraeaxenar at The Falling Star and acquiring the Runestone required to teleport to the Elder Copse from the talking tree at the bow of the ship, return to the Kingdom Knight's location and speak to him once more. He tells you that he will return to Pardoner's Vale. At this point, leave Dreadstone Peak and then return once again. Revisit the Knight's last location and in his place will be a Treasure Chest containing the entire Ostarin Set.

The final step in Kingdom Knight's questline involves speaking to him in Pardoner's Vale after he moves there following the events in Dreadstone Peak. He can be found sitting next to the cat just west from the village center. Speaking to him here, he tells you that he is glad to return to the village and to his cat companion, whom he named Konos. He will award you with an Ashpyr Brick for all your troubles.
