So, if you're unfamiliar, these are actually just honest to god DoT bombs. They're a bit weird, I haven't done extensive testing so I couldn't tell you the true, misunderstood and hidden efficacy of entropy and decay - but from what I noticed:
Pretty good for killing most enemies, 1-2 bombs, if they stand inside the cloud the whole duration, will cause rot and cause *most* enemies to die.
I've never, ever, had this work on any boss or mage. Not sure why. Don't know if they're immune or just have insanely high resistance to... lets call it Rot. Poison, on the other hand, usually procs very quickly but tends to be pretty weak - lasts a long time though.
In a weird place for a weapon you unlock under a *strength* tree (seriously, why does this game do that?) But you're likely to have arcane *anyway* if you want to be able to use Glyphs - which you do. If you really wanted to, you COULD spec into bombs just for these gimmicky little dot throwables. If you want raw damage, though, just specc'ing into strength for throwing axes is more than enough. Easily almost 100 damage an axe toss by end game with a good throwing axe.
