Weapons for Salt and Sacrifice is an equipment category of the game, weapons are equipped by the player's character and are used to inflict damage against hostile characters such as enemies and bosses. In the first game, Salt and Sanctuary, there is a number of weapon categories to choose from where any Class can use any Weapon as long as they have unlocked the Skill requirement/s for the weapon. This page covers a list of all the Weapons that can be found in the game.

Weapons in Salt and Sacrifice

Salt and Sacrifice features returning weapons such as Daggers, Swords, Staves, Axes, Hammers, Shields, Bows, and more types of weapons are expected to be available. Each weapon is also uniquely designed individually and apart from that, each weapon has unique moves that can be learned and acquired through upgrading or unlocking skills, this provides a player to create the hunter and defender against chaos that specializes in multiple aspects.

Weapons and Armor can be ENHANCED (Upgraded) and some can also be Crafted with special Materials from Mages.

Returning Mechanics

Crafting will play an integral feature in Salt and Sacrifice and a returning feature may also return in Salt and Sacrifice which is Transmuting or even a similar crafting mechanic for weapons. Transmutation back in Salt and Sanctuary is when you convert some Weapons, Shields or Armor into another of the same type using the remains of Bosses and Enemies.

 

Salt and Sacrifice Weapon Categories

All weapons are divided into categories that determine their scaling tendencies and movement types. Additionally, each category of weapons features weapon class, starting from zero for the least powerful weapons, and ascending to Class 5 for the most powerful weapons in Salt and Sacrifice. The categories of Weapons as confirmed by the Demo's Tree of Skill are:

  • Vanguard Weapons (likely shields)
  • Greatblades

  • Bludgeoners

Daggers

Daggers are useful for quick attacks but it lacks reach and requires the wielder to be in close-contact with the enemy to land those hits.

Swords

Swords are a well-balanced type of weapon. Experienced fighters who are used to wielding the sword are capable of executing fast and strong attacks. The sword also has a good medium-reach.

Axes

Axes usually have a slower attack speed than most other weapons, but deal more damage per hit.

Hammers

Hammers have a very slow attack speed, but make up for it with high damage per hit.

Staves

Staves is a dual-type of weapon where the wielder can use it to inflict blunt melee damage but it is mainly used to cast spells and can only be wielded with two hands. Spells use Focus to cast.

Bows

Bows are used for ranged attacks and consume arrows upon firing. Since they require to be used in two hands, their best use is for picking enemies where they can't reach you. Players will need to craft and use different kinds of arrows in order to use the bow.
